The majority of these rugs are woven. Up to 5’ diameter the rugs are made of strips of fabric which have been woven together to create a heavy and hardwearing rug. The weave can be seen more clearly in the close-up. Circular rugs lend themselves to spiral patterns. Patchwork rugs are further embellished with free machine embroidery and hand stitching.
